About banking stamps
Bank stamps mark what happened to a document and who handled it: a teller stamp records the branch and window that processed a transaction, an endorsement stamp goes on the back of a cheque before deposit, and a PAID or date stamp closes out a voucher or slip. The usual content is the bank or account holder name, a branch or teller number, an account number field and a date. All of those are editable lines in our banking stamp templates.
The library includes a round bank teller stamp with branch and teller number and a date band, a rectangular For Deposit Only endorsement stamp with a blank account-number rule, a rectangular transaction date stamp with branch code and initials field, and an oval PAID stamp with a date line. Rectangular endorsement layouts are the ones that fit the endorsement area on the back of a cheque; round and oval designs read as official counter marks.
Design for free and pay only when you download. The purchase unlocks a transparent PNG, a white-background PNG, an SVG and a print-ready PDF — the SVG is what a stamp shop needs to produce a self-inking endorsement stamp, while the transparent PNG lets you apply the same mark to scanned cheques, remittance advices and PDF statements. Check your bank's endorsement wording requirements before ordering, as some require a specific account format.
Frequently asked questions
What does a For Deposit Only endorsement stamp say?
Typically For Deposit Only, the account holder or bank name, and the account number. Our template includes all three, with a blank rule if you would rather write the account in.
Can I use a bank stamp on a scanned cheque or PDF?
The transparent PNG can be applied to a scan or PDF. Whether your bank accepts a digital endorsement is their policy, not something the file can change.
Can I get an endorsement stamp physically made?
Yes. Send the SVG to any stamp supplier and ask for a self-inking mount sized for cheque endorsement — commonly around 1.5 x 0.5 in.
