About wedding stamps

A wedding stamp carries a couple's names, initials and date onto the paper parts of the day: invitations and envelopes, save-the-date cards, place cards and menus, favour bags, thank-you notes and gift wrap. The content is simple by design — two first names or two initials, a date in a spaced-out format, and a decorative frame such as a wreath, a ring of dots or a wax-seal border. Each of those is editable in our wedding stamp templates.

All four designs are round, which is the shape that reads as a seal. There is a names-and-date wreath stamp with a heart divider, a save-the-date stamp with the date curved inside a ring, a couple monogram stamp with two initials and a date, and a wax-seal monogram built around a single letter. Change the script fonts, adjust the date format, resize the whole design to fit an envelope flap or a small tag, and set the ink to sage, navy, gold-brown or whatever your palette is.

Designing is free, so you can try several versions before choosing. One purchase then unlocks a transparent PNG, a white-background PNG, an SVG and a print-ready PDF. Couples usually order a rubber or self-inking stamp from the SVG for stamping favors and envelopes by hand, and keep the transparent PNG for digital save-the-dates and the wedding website.

Frequently asked questions

What size should a wedding stamp be?

Around 1 to 1.5 in (25 to 40 mm) across suits envelope flaps, favour tags and place cards. The SVG is vector, so your stamp maker can scale the design to any mount.

Can I stamp onto kraft bags and card?

Yes — a rubber stamp with pigment ink works well on kraft paper, card and fabric ribbon. Bolder designs with thicker lines print more cleanly on textured stock.

Can I use the design digitally too?

Yes. The transparent PNG works on digital save-the-dates, a wedding website or an email footer, and the PDF is ready for a print shop.
